Studio, Lismore City Hall

Tonic is a fresh and daring program for solo cello devised and performed by Australian cellist and composer, Conrad Hamill. Showcasing works of the classics – Bach & Cassadó, the contemporaries – Hopkins, Summers & Bartolomey, and the unearthed – premiering his own compositions, Tonic is a virtuosic program for those with a passion for the classics and a curiosity for the sounds of tomorrow.

Hailing originally from regional Victoria, Conrad Hamill is an accomplished artist across a breadth of musical domains and through creating engaging and enlightening experiences for his audiences, he endeavours to break down boundaries and present traditional forms of western music in new ways.

In this performance, the audience will be physically distanced, however, the space will be filled with a symphony of live sounds using looping pedals, electronic effects, and a series of new and experimental techniques for the cello.

Be transported by this one-of-a-kind experience in Lismore for a short time only.
